Oh happy day!

Oh happy day

Oh happy happy day

When Jesus washed

(Oh when he washed)

When Jesus washed

He washed my sins away!

He taught me how

(He taught me)

Taught me how to watch

(How to watch)
He taught me how to watch

and fight and pray

(Fight and pray)

Yes, fight and pray

Oh happy day

Good news! The December issue of The Undie Press just posted with my monthly column on collecting rare 20th Century Literature, Books You Cannot Read. This month, one of the best writers that England ever produced (IMHO). Thank you, my Limey friends!

  1. Good article, nicely illustrated. I tend to confuse Graham Greene with Anthony Burgess. Maybe it’s the Catholic connection. I’ve always loved the title ‘The End of the Affair’ I must read it again.

  2. We have a Canadian Graham Greene but he’s an aboriginal actor (I’m sure of you have seen ‘Dances with Wolves’, you know who he is…).I love reading your columns and I’ve very glad you provide a link here on your blog. Thanks for that!!I hear ya about that English accent. LHB is English and I love listening to him talk!!! Thankfully, he is happy to talk and we do lots of that. Oh, and he does listen too.

  3. Well, I’m certainly entertained when I come here.I love GG. And, you’re going to hate me now – I once had a first of “Our Man in Havana” and I gifted it to a friend. I heard later that it and other good books ended up at a church bazaar.
