Maybe it’s where you find the depressed town trains?
Maybe it originated as two words. An adjective and then a noun. Email was once “e-mail”. The hyphen has been dropped. Now it is “email”. Catch my drift?
Spelling wasn’t a biggie back in the day.I just love those mosaics.
K: Depressed trains run all throughout Manhattan. It’s not specific to geography.Myopic: Welcome! I belive that’s the best answer. It may have also been a stylistic choice…for spacing etc.

through the miracle of modern pain medication, i now have a terrible earworm. somehow, Sheena Easton’s “Morning Train” is stuck in my brain. the mosaics are lovely. the song? notsomuch…
